The FAQ
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is natural, relaxed and emotion-led. I focus on capturing genuine moments as they happen, rather than staging or forcing anything. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but for the most part I blend into the background and let your day unfold naturally. The only place you may see more of me is the dancefloor because it’s my favourite part of the whole day.
We’re nervous in front of the camera, will that be a problem?
Not at all. Most of my couples say this!
I create a calm, relaxed atmosphere so you never feel awkward or overly posed. You’ll never be expected to “perform” just be yourselves. Imagine your on a date together & I so happen to be there capturing it.
Do you offer a second photographer?
Do you offer a second photographer?
Yes, a second photographer can be added to any package. This is ideal for larger weddings or if you’d like coverage of both partners getting ready and extra candid moments throughout the day. Having a second photographer means neither side has to be rushed or missed, you get the full story.
Do you edit your photos?
Yes. All images are carefully and lightly edited to reflect my natural, true-to-life style. I don’t use heavy filters or artificial enhancements, as I believe in celebrating real moments and natural beauty. My editing focuses on colour, light and consistency, keeping everything timeless and authentic. Of course, if there’s something temporary like a noticeable spot on the day of your wedding or session, I’ll always do my best to remove it, but you’ll never look overly edited or unlike yourselves.
How long does it take to receive our wedding gallery?
Your full gallery will be delivered within 6–8 weeks. During peak wedding season this can vary slightly, but I’ll always keep you updated.
How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, but you can expect a carefully curated gallery telling the full story of your day. Quality always comes before quantity, every image is edited with care and intention.
How will we receive our photos?
Your photos will be delivered via a private online gallery. You’ll be able to download, share and print your images easily.
Do you travel?
Yes, I’m happy to travel! Travel within a set local radius is included, with further distances quoted individually.
How do we book?
To secure your date, a signed contract and booking fee are required. Once that’s done, your date is officially yours.
Can we meet before the wedding?
Absolutely. We’ll arrange a consultation either face-to-face or over Zoom to talk through your plans, timeline and what matters most to you.
What happens if it rains?
Don’t worry! Some of the most beautiful moments happen in the rain. I’ll always adapt, find sheltered spots and make the most of the day, whatever the weather.
How far in advance should we book?
For weddings, I recommend getting in touch as soon as you have your date, as popular dates can book up well in advance.
For all other sessions including: family, maternity, cake smashes, couples and events, booking at least 8-6 weeks ahead is usually perfect, though availability can be more limited during peak seasons. Seasonal mini sessions are released on specific dates and tend to book quickly, so early booking is always advised.
What do we need to know about a cake smash session?
Cake smash sessions are relaxed, fun and completely child-led. They usually last up to 45 minutes, giving your little one plenty of time to explore the cake at their own pace (with breaks for cuddles or feeds if needed). Cakes are usually provided by parents so you can choose a flavour and style your child loves, and simple outfits photograph beautifully. it’s always a good idea to bring a spare as things can get messy! Every baby reacts differently, and that’s part of the magic. Whether they dive straight in, gently poke the cake or decide they’re not sure at all, every reaction is perfect and will be captured naturally. Family or sibling photos can be included at the end/beginning of the session.
Cake smash sessions are best booked around 4–6 weeks before your child’s birthday, with your edited gallery delivered within 2–4 weeks via a private online gallery where you can download, share and print your images.
What do we need to know about a family session?
Family sessions are relaxed, natural and completely child-led. They usually last around 60 minutes and are designed to feel more like time together than a photoshoot. There’s no pressure for children to sit still or pose, movement, play and cuddles are all encouraged. Neutral, comfortable outfits photograph beautifully, but the most important thing is that everyone feels at ease. Sessions can include parents, children, pets and extended family if you’d like. Your edited gallery will be delivered within 2–4 weeks via a private online gallery.
What do we need to know about event photography?
Event photography is all about capturing the atmosphere, emotion and key moments as your event naturally unfolds. Coverage is usually booked for 2–5 hours, depending on the size and flow of your celebration. I photograph a mix of candid guest moments, details and highlights in a relaxed, unobtrusive way, allowing you to enjoy your event without interruption. Galleries are delivered within 3–5 weeks via a private online gallery.
What do we need to know about mini sessions?
Mini sessions are short, relaxed shoots offered on selected dates throughout the year, including bluebell, pumpkin patch and Christmas sessions. They take place at set locations and times and are perfect for families, couples or little ones wanting beautiful seasonal images without a full session. Spaces are limited and tend to book quickly. Due to their nature, mini sessions are less flexible than full sessions, with galleries delivered within the stated timeframe via a private online gallery.
What do we need to know about a couples session?
Couples sessions are relaxed, natural and focused on connection rather than posing. Sessions last around 60 minutes and feel more like a walk, a chat and time together than a photoshoot. I’ll gently guide you with movement and prompts, so there’s no need to worry about what to do. Sessions can be used for engagements, anniversaries or simply capturing your relationship as it is right now. Your edited gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks via a private online gallery.
What do we need to know about dance and stage photography?
Dance and stage photography focuses on capturing movement, emotion and storytelling in a respectful, unobtrusive way. Whether it’s a rehearsal or live performance, I work quietly to preserve the energy and atmosphere of the moment without distraction. Coverage is tailored to the performance, lighting and venue, with galleries delivered via a private online gallery once editing is complete.
